The last thing that made me cry

Was last night, saying my prayers! But even before that I stayed up late to read a wonderful book I'm reading. I encourage every one to read it. Heaven Is Here By: Stephanie Nielson an LDS author. I always read her blog for years now {NieNieDialogues}, but had forgotten that she wrote a book about her and her husbands plane crash that took place about 5 years ago. She is such an inspiration and in reading about her life before and after. What a wonderful woman, wife and mother to look up to and admire. I even follow her on Instagram, because she is that awesome! I'm halfway through the book and I often cry of what she is going through and how she deals with it. Her sweet spirit and relationship with God is all there out in the open. How her faith never dwindled but grew tremendously with all the trials she endured after her accident. I love this book and in some ways I can relate as a mother, member of the LDS church {Mormon faith}, and a wife. Whatever I am handed in this life that isn't apart of my agenda, I want to remember Stephanie's courage and strength. To count my blessings and to grow closer to my savior. I bought her book at Seagul's bookstore in utah. $4.75! Steal! So don't waste anymore time and buy/order it now! I promise you'll love it!

Last week

We started the week with Aila turning Two years old, and had a great time celebrating her. Later in the week Mr. Walker and I went on a much needed date night while my sweet sister Shea watched Aila for the night. Todd and I ate dinner at Magleby's, we heard it was good and have been wanting to try it ever since we moved up here. Their food was really good, Todd got their pot roast doc.truck meal and I got the fish and chips. We shared and devoured every last bite. [yum yum] We then decided to maybe go see a movie, but the show that fit our schedule was sold out. [Man of steel] Oh well, better to wait for redbox anyways! Finally after a few minutes of wondering what we could do for fun, we came across Nickel mania. [yes a kid arcade]  It was so fun though, nickel machines instead of quarters or tokens. We played shooting games to old school The Simpsons and shot some hoops. We had fun just being silly and when we were ready to leave, we cashed in all our tickets and got Aila some goodies ;) We missed our baby! She really is so cute and melts our hearts non-stop! When we arrived at my sister and her husbands home, the door opened and I see her precious face smiling ear to ear. She calls out Mommy, Mommy! Like there you are, I was wondering where you went. Yup thats right, she's a mama's girl! He he! On sunday after church we went to visit one of Todd's good friends from high school that he hasn't seen in along time. We visited in cedar hills..way way up the mountain. The view was so pretty and you could count all the churches on every corner from where we were. Haha. Later than night I made what we have been craving for days now [DONUTS] I make them from biscuits and fry then in a pan with olive oil on medium, then dip them in powered sugar and a touch of hersey syrup. [Yum] and simple!

The beautiful view [Cedar Hills]
The homes up here are ridiculously nice!

Todd shootin some hoops!

Donuts. yum
Don't worry I only had about 3, Todd ate the rest!

I'm "TWO" Photoshoot

Our darling girl turned Two yesterday! It was such a great day. Morning came and I made her oatmeal waffles and then we went to the mall for lunch, then played at the play area and then went to the disney store so she could pick out a toy. She chose a mini Minnie Mouse plush toy. She didn't want any of the other characters but sadly they didn't have Marie from The Arisocats, otherwise she could have gotten that one for sure! Afternoon approached and it was nap time, she was a little cranky all morning, but a nice long nap cures that! While she slept I made a Banana chocolate chip cake with milk chocolate frosting from scratch! My first cake to make completely homemade. It sure didn't come out looking pretty, but it was ooey gooey chocolatey goodness! Evening came and family came over to celebrate and brought gifts! So nice of them!! Thank you Laura, Eli, Dustin, Shea, Garrett, jenna, Madsen and brandon! It meant a lot that you all came on such a whim! Her birthday was a success and I know she felt so loved :)

1 more day..hooray..hooray!

Well folks tomorrow is the day, Aila is going to be TWO YEARS OLD! O.M.G! Time is flying by and we are freaking out. OK not really, but excited for our growing babe to be getting older and more mature. she's already talking so much lately as if she knows...Smart cookie ;) Well since she is turning two I thought it would be fun to do a mini celebration for her birthday tomorrow + a photo shoot! So stay tuned for all that jazz to come! It's going to be precious and yummy! On a Monday happy note: Yesterday at church Aila was officially "great" in nursery the whole 2 hours! Yay! I got to enjoy church and truly listen and enjoy the lessons without someone grabbing me aside to come get her! Oh and just for the record she's not the only one that was having a tough time in nursery, its a normal thing..but it feels good to know that hopefully she is on her way out to not needing me for 2 hours! Yay! ::MAMA DANCE:: Sundays are dress up day, so I try to get a pic of us all church ready. Doesn't Aila look so cute! Can't take it! I love having a girl ;)

There's only one word for it..."Neglect"

Sorry I have been MIA, our Internet has been all wacky and well...it has been not of an interest to fight with it so I have neglected everything to do with the computer. Refreshing...you should try it ;) So to catch up on here I just want to say how much I love being a mommy. You've heard it once and you'll hear it again...or read it again. Being a mama is the ultimate! Ha ha. I adore my little girl, who is turning two in just 6 days by the way!! Hay hay!! No way!! She is perfect, hilarious and is quite the firecracker. And what I have noticed lately is that she KNOWS she is turning Two! For about a few weeks know I have noticed a slight chance in her behavior, she's growing up is all...::tear::. I am sad, but of course it's inevitable. She is growing up and there is not one thing I can do to stop it. And even if I could I wouldn't ;) How precious is this photo I took while at the library today! Boy you know your a photographer when you stick your child up on the window seals with awesome lighting for a photo opportunity! Now If only she could stay still and at least look in my direction ;)

Family outing

Today we went up to Provo Canyon and walked the trail up to bridal falls, a beautiful waterfall. We packed lunch and had a picnic in the shade. Aila was loving the waterfall with the rocks and walking around with daddy chasing after her. She is a wanderer for sure. Loves to be out and about, doing her own thing.

There we are...waving to Daddy!

Our little wanderer doing what she does best...

Beautiful day...beautiful scenery!

There is nothing sexier than a man pushing a stroller ;)

Were blurry, but together :) Getting our walk on!
