9 days in California

So to continue on our trip to California last week, there are a few highlights that stick out and are Blog worthy. Tuesday we had a great time at Lake Skinner with the kiddos. They loved the splash pads and play ground. Never been? It's a great escape from the city! Wednesday we celebrated my Grandma's birthday[the twins] at Jason's deli. They turned 88 years old! Holy Cannoli! These two are the most wonderful unselfish women ever! They are so special and perfect to me. They sure have started such a large beautiful family. I love coming from a very large family. Friday we HAD to get our Dragon House on!! Thee best Chinese food ever! I highly recommend it. I know I have blogged about Dragon House one or twice before, but I'm dead serious...THEE BEST Chinese food! I wouldn't steer you wrong on good quality food. It's located in Moreno Valley off of Alessandro blvd. Go and Enjoy if your in the Inland Empire area. We ended the week back home visiting Gigi Phyllis in St. George. I'd say last week was dedicated to family! Lots and lots of family time. Now were home and enjoying our last two weeks here in Utah. [to be continued]

Erik's Homecoming

There is nothing like greeting your family member whom you have not seen in person for two whole years! Most of all of us were able to make it to Erik's arrival at the airport like we did with my other brothers Garrett and Brandon. The anticipation and happy jumpy hearts anxious to see his face turn the airport terminal corner! Finally we see him!!! Se shouted and screamed of joy! He's floating down the escalator and falls right into my mother's arms! It is such a special moment to remember! We cried, hugged and were so blessed to have him home safe and sound. I told my mom before hand that she was now all done. This was her last missionary! I could tell she was happy about that thought. To be so proud of what they all have accomplished, but to not worry about them so far away any longer. It was such a great start to the long wonderful week we had in California.

This little light of mine

We love this sweet smiley face so much, she is the sunshine in our lives. She brings us so much joy and laughter every second of the day. She is at a really fun stage in her life, the terrible twos they call it. But it's not always terrible. In fact I wouldn't call it that, I'd just leave it at Tantrum Twos for now. She has been speaking A LOT more, she's getting to the point where sometimes we tell her to say a word and she either says it if its easy enough or she at least tries to say it the best she can. Eagar to learn...thats ma girl! And so smart, you wonder if your raising a two year old or a 5 year old. Their so quick on picking up new things and they watch you like a Hawk...literally! Sponge Aila square dress! ;) I love taking photos of her all day long. She's super fun to be around, so happy that I am her mama forever and ever!   Still can't believe she's two years old! My baby!

Absoluetly loves Bath time. She knows the drill when she hears the bath water running after dinner. We get her out of her icky clothes and she runs to the bathtub like it was christmas morning{not that she even knows what that means yet}. But always super happy and loves to play with her yellow duckies and water cup. All smiles :)

Outside play time blowing bubbles. She watches me blow some, then she wants to try. Grabs the bottle and cap. She knows how its done. Though none came out, she still had a blast. 

I just LOVE her!

Elder Erik McGregor Mission Picture Videos

He will be home in 3 days! I am crying while writing this! Cannot wait to see him again! Here are two videos my dad put together that I just had to share of my Brother Erik's Mission in Africa/Ethiopia. The second video, the song is written by Erik, guitarist and sung with our cousin Cole Huntley, who is now serving in the Nashville Tenneesee Mission. 

Anyone that has a relative going or is on a mission, you can relate to the love and support you show to them in every possible way. I admire our Missionaries with all my heart. I love my church and the gospel. I know it is true and for all these young teenagers going out there to share it is truly a miracle! God Bless them on their journeys!

Labor Day Weekend

We love holidays around here, more family time to spend together. So for Labor Day we weekend we were invited over to Todd's aunt Cheryl's home while his grandma was in town as well. We picked yummy peaches off her neighbors tree, they are delish! For dinner we had yummy BBQ, S'mores for dessert and of course a lot a Farkel games....which I won twice!! Todd was determined to win and he was a little poopy when I beat him! MUUUAAHAHA! I'm no sore winner or loser, I generally could careless who win or loses, but it sure felt good. Gigi Phyllis {Todd's grandma} made Aila the cutest mini pillow with her name on it and a doll crochet blanket! How cute!! I think I was more happy about her present then Aila was ha ha. Monday we decided to check out Spanish Forks reservoir. It was pretty up there, but after 45 Min's we were getting super hot with the sun beating down on us. Later we went on a walk to dinner at some O.K Chinese place and then continued our walk through the BYU campus down to Sonic for half off shakes! They really do have yummy shakes! Todd got Oreo and I got their Butter finger shake. Thought I'd mix it up since I always get their Reeses.

Better late than never, right?

Last Christmas I told my mom how I was going to make her a Missionary plaque with a beautiful saying that I saw at the deseret industries, but add the places where my three brothers served and were serving at. And somehow design it to fit together to have it hang on the wall of my parents home. She was so excited and I kept putting it off and then it didn't happen. Not that I didn't want to, but we moved and I would sometimes remember and then forget again. But it was always in the back of my mind that I wanted to do this for my proud parents of their missionaries. My youngest brother Erik comes home in just 4 days! So lately I have been thinking of this project over and over in my head and what a perfect time to make it for my parents when their last missionary will be home safe and sound. I designed it a little differently then I had intended last year, but I think it will do just fine. This is the final project. All done online with my nifty tech skills and ready to be professionally printed, framed and hung on the wall of honor ;) I am a proud sister to have made this for my parents and brothers who all served missions all over the world. So happy that we will all be together again when we welcome home Elder Erik McGregor in just 4 days!!
