What a Jem!

Lately she really has matured and grown a lot, which naturally that's what babies do...they grow way to fast! It amaazes me on how big she is now. She is so lovable...like a cuddle bug in a way, and is very affectionate. Kisses galore!! Pucker up cause here she comes! I love it!

11 facts you may not know about me:

1. I am #2 of 6 children. 3 girls-3 boys!

2. When I was in 8th grade I had surgery in my mouth to remove my labial frenum. 

3. I was obsessed with No Doubt and Gavin rossdale(singer from Bush) when I was about 13ish. I would fan mail and they would send me freebies and stuff. Weird that they are now married haha.

4. I took my husband to his first metal show. (Back when we were just friends)

5. My heritage is mostly Scottish...so naturally I Cherish my maiden name.

6. I studied fashion design in college.

7. While growing up we had all kinds of animals...reptiles...you name it, at some point we had it. My favorite that comes to mind was my jesus lizard. (The basilisk)

8. I have a tattoo that I got on my golden birthday 6 years ago. Not proud cause I hate tattoos with a passion, But it is what it is. Plus you would laugh if you could try to find it, let alone see it!

Like a journal! 2. where is your "happy place"?- With my family. (2 minutes later he is out cold while I still have about 20 minutes left till I officially shut off my brain) 9. is there a meaning behind your first and middle name?-Nope, they liked it so they named me Brittany Nicole....Wah La! 10. your biggest pet peeve?- When people do not have common sense. 11. what is the last thing you checked off your bucket list?-When I had baby #1....3 more to go haha.

This month is going to be really busy, happy, sad, exciting and my last in a lot of ways for at least a little while. I'm moving reallllly soon to Utah. Like APRIL soon!...Ahhh! I have been saying to everyone about our move....It's Bittersweet. Thats all I can say about it. It's the perfect word to express how I feel haha. But so anyways back to the deal that I am offering with my Photography. Utah Bound

This past week/weekend we cruised up to Utah {My mom, sister, Aila and me} for a few days for my sister in laws baby shower and to of course see my husband!! It had been almost a month since I have seen him in the flesh. We skyped and called each other a couple times a day, but it just isn't the same you know. Our visit was short but sweet. The baby shower was saturday and it snowed the worst that day. We saw about 5 accidents off the freeway on the way there. I kept thinking man...It's going to be a whole new world when I am moved up there officially...haha. It was pretty cold, but freezing when the wind blew. Bundle up during the day and cuddle at night. Thats how you survive I'm guessing. All in all we had a good time and I even brought up my canon, but never got it out!! Not once! Ugh...there just wasn't much time, it was cold and wah wah wah. Oh well, I did however get a few shots from my instagram. Haha...what a time/life savor!

Be My Valentine!

Happy Belated Valentine's Day! So I have a few things to cover that have happened. Nothing too crazy, but just fun to share. So the morning of valentine's day, Aila and I awoke with flower's from Papa {my dad}. Beautiful red roses for my mother, pink roses for me and a single pink rose for miss Ailapie! As you can see from the picture below...ADORABLE! He even put it in a vase and set it on her highchair! Precious! I made Aila pink oatmeal pancakes and got her ready for the day. Later that night we went to dinner with my parent's to Ming's Chinese resturant-YUM! 

The day after we got together with Aunty Winter and cousins Cash n Ryder for our belated v-day shoot! It was so cute! My sister made the kissing booth stand all by herself {prego and all} and it turned out adorable! She is also a photographer, very established and good with kids. She was the serious shooter while I just took the fun in between shots, which are my favorite to work with.

17 and a half months old

6. We went to Hobby Lobby and saw this cute couch with two matching chairs. [sold separately].  Perfect for a girls room or for my Photography. *Too bad it was way out of the ball park* 

7. Aila jumping on the couch at church. And no, I am not THAT mom that lets my child rome like an animal while I stand and watch. In this case...she was just so full of energy and so...I was tired anddd...OK I WAS THAT MOM THIS TIME! *Don't judge me*

8. Dinner and Alice in Wonderland at Aunty Winter's house on sunday. She looked to precious sitting on her knees and engulfed in the movie in a way I haven't seen before. *Aila in Wonderland*

Eventful Week

So this week was a full week for us, Todd left on Wednesday for Utah, Aila got to see her future husband Henry for a play date on friday {we joke and say they are getting married in the future} HA, wouldn't that be crazy cool! They colored, ate fishy crackers, painted and watched a movie. It was a lot of fun! Today we spent the day for some cousin fun time, lunch and shopping. Seriously, it has been a vacation around here. Aila has been such a dainty sweetpea lately. She is just so corky and lovable...UGH I eat her up every chance I get! It's been a real treat being a mom. I feel so spoiled and lucky to be a stay home mom. I'm sure I am not alone on feeling like that. Although I do only care for 1 child right now...Im sure i'll think twice with the more I have haha. Nah, I'll still feel the same of course! Being a mom is tough and it has it's up's and down's, but I LOve it and am very grateful to have this role in my life as a full time wife and mother. It sure beats measuring women's breasts at nordstrom! Haha good times, good times! Anyways just grateful I guess and happy at the moment where I am in my life. Lucky me, luckkky me ;)

Before bedtime wrestles & remote controls

Aila LOVES Daddy! She loves her Ma of course, but there is something about Daddy that just really gets her silly and joyful. Aila is a tough cookie, and well...she better be, she is surrounded by all boy nephews! Here is Aila and Daddy wrestling before bedtime and Aila is clearly kicking Dada's bootay! "GO A-A!!" We enjoyed as much time as we could with Daddy before he was off to Utah for 2 months. Which seems like along time not to see your husband, but there is some good news that comes with that. Aila and I will be traveling out there at the end of this month for my sister-in-laws baby shower AND he will try and make it out here if he can to see us, sooo It won't be to to bad. We are going to stay busy and enjoy California while we are still here. I miss Todd already though and it's only been 2 days...haha! Typical lovestruck wifey! ::sigh:: OK focusing on something else...Don't mind the mess in the photo's, we were still unpacking and getting situated. BUT now a few days later we are officially all moved in at my parent's house. It was a smooth transition for Aila, she is comfortable here and knows where everything is so that was good. Moving can be tough on a little toddler and sometimes very difficult on the parent's I imagine. I am just so glad Aila is pretty go with the flow for the most part with spending the night either at my parent's house or Grandpa and Grandma Walker's. I love my parent's and In-Law's! They all are so supportive of our situation and willing to help us in anyway that they can. Their so positive and happy for us, which eases my nerves on moving to a different state where we will not have the short distance of hanging out all the time. I know it is a good move for us and it not only feels right, I am feeling eager and happy about this new adventure underway! YAY!

17 Months Old

Just a few things to share about our 17 month old.

SHE...

LOVES taking baths, morning...noon...night! 

Just started liking chocolate. 

Loves to come up to Mommy and  Daddy and hug.

Is always happy when she wakes up from her naps and in the morning.

Loves to be around us at all times and follow us everywhere.

Loves to be around her nephews, friends and other kids. 

Loves shoes...like her ma.

Get's into everything BUT is well behaved when told no and is such a good girl.

Nicname: Sillypie- She is so silly! Smiles all the time.

BITTERSWEET

I'll just say it...Were moving to Utah. Yes...Utah. Todd got a great job offer. We have been talking about moving for some time now, but the opportunity hasn't been there for us. This time around it's meant to be for us to get out of California. It will be a better chance at getting ahead in our life. It's really sad to leave our home, but in a lot of ways a true blessing to get out of here. We're ready to move on...though Utah would not be my first choice, however I am happy and it feels right. The prayers and smooth transition so far on moving has been quite good and hard to ignore...PLUS we have a lot of family out there. SO I think we will be ok and visit as often as we can. Todd will be moving out there tomorrow, while Aila and I will be staying with my parents till he finishes the academy.[ #2 months.] We will be talking, skyping, visiting, you name it...cause we will miss each other horribly!! BUT yet it's a good little plan for the time being. It's funny how everything really does happen for a reason and works out just right. Aila and I will be enjoying California and hopefully seeing family + friends till the official time comes to say
