One year tribute

My younger brother Elder Erik McGregor is on a Mission in Kampala Africa. Sept.22 was his 1 year! YAY for Afrik! My parents came up with that name for him(haha) too funny. Erik has been transfered to a couple different places, but right now he is in Ethiopia..c r a z y! He is loving it and the people. He and his companions throughout the year have baptised 15 people. We are so proud of him and enjoy reading and writing him weekly. His favorite place to eat at right now is called Island breeze, they serve good pizza there he say's. He has learned so much already and his testimony shines with every email he sends. He has been learning Amharic, which is a semitic language spoken in Ethiopia. How neat is that!

13 months

So it's true, they do grow up reaaaaaallllly fast! Already 13 months! Aila had her 1 year doctor check up and she is still just so petite and small haha. Weighing 16lbs 5oz 28in. Poor thing had to get 6 shots. I felt so bad, but soon after she was her normal self sitting and enjoying her fruit roll for being such a trooper! 
She is too cute!

No but seriously...I say she's cute, but that doesn't do her justice. Im obsessed of course! She's always happy and has 4 new teeth coming in....you wouldn't even know it. She's silly and just so adorable. She loves to say uhh ohh and mmm hmmm. Occasionally she will say daadee, maamaa or wooo if were lucky. The best part is her smile and laugh. Yup, can't get any cuter than this! Her new beanie for fall/winter ;)

Our days together

I love being a stay at home mom and I am soooo very thankful and truly blessed that Todd works so hard for me to be home with our babe. Our days together consists of sleep, eat, play, sleep, eat, go on a walk, play, eat and sleep. Well she sleeps, I am busy cleaning after her and the home. I try to get out of the house a lot...we love to go on walks or just go anywhere to walk, browse and play. Aila loves her walk time, her cute smile anxious face as I stroll her around. We love it! Aila is really starting to get everywhere and everything. But most of the time she is such a good girl and loves her mamee and dadee :) 

Little miss is ONE

AILA turned one years old on August 20th. Such a sweety girl! We celebrated her party on August 11th with a Beach themed backyard pool party. That was right around the time where it was hades hot, seriously I am so glad I choose to do a pool party, otherwise we would have all melted...LITERALLY!! I couldn't believe how hot it was, trying to set up outside my parent's backyard at 8 a.m and sweating balls already! Insane!! But we made it work with the heat wave we were having just in time for a Beach Birthday Bash! It fit perfectly and was one heck of an interesting fun day. Planning, shopping and creating her beach party was so much fun and very inexpensive. Great ideas that I made from pinterest to really make it a super cute fun first birthday. When I was little and having a blast at my birthday party, I was already thinking of what I would do for my next birthday haha. Thats the Impatient and creative side of me. I just love the challenge of an idea, the decor and outcome of a cute, creative and fun party. We got and took a lot of photo's, these are just a few of my favy's! Enjoy!

Pioneer Day

We traveled to Julian for Pioneer day with Grandma & Grandpa Walker. While on our drive up to Julian we stopped by Dudley's bakery. Holy cow GREAT bread! I highly recommend driving all the way up to Julian just to get your hands on some fresh loafs![YUM]. Being Aila's & my first time to enjoy the festivities that go on, on this particular day that is mind you a Holiday in the state of Utah. But here in CA, I'm sure some people scratch their head and think...what is Pioneer Day!? We ventured up to Julian, to the Smith Ranch. Good food and fun activities.
